Regional divergence in exports is equally sharp. By category, industrial sewing machine exports reached 2.78 million units, up 6.25%, but export value fell 2.55% to US$857 million -- a widening volume-price scissors gap indicating intensifying price competition in mid-to-low-end models. Embroidery machine exports reached US$561 million, up 19.19%, one of the few categories with both volume and price growth.
