China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has joined with the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) to release a new Textile Industry Digital Transformation Guide, providing a systematic roadmap for smart manufacturing upgrades across the sector.

The Guide targets production digitalization (raising MES adoption from under 30% to 60%+ by 2028), supply chain coordination through industry IoT platforms, and business model innovation including mass customization and C2M.
Key Technologies
The Guide highlights digital twins for real-time production monitoring, computer vision for fabric defect detection (5-10x efficiency improvement over manual inspection at 98%+ accuracy), and 5G-enabled smart factory operations with 20+ pilot projects already deployed.
Policy Support
Supporting measures include a dedicated digital transformation fund offering up to 30% subsidies for MES and IIoT platform implementation, plus preferential financing and tax policies for designated demonstration enterprises.
